Women’s Soccer Falls to East Central in GAC Tournament Opener

ADA, Okla. – The Harding women's soccer team fell in the opening round of the Great American Conference Tournament 6-0 on Friday afternoon. The Lady Bisons end their season with a 4-13-1 overall record.

East Central (11-6-1) advanced to the championship game that will be played on Sunday against Ouachita Baptist at 1 p.m.

The Tigers got on the board first in the fourth minute when a Harding foul in the box gave the Tigers a penalty kick. Laura McNab converted the PK and gave ECU a 1-0 lead.

Ten minutes later, Katie Glutz sent a cross to Whitney Watts for the Tigers second goal of the game. East Central took a 2-0 lead into halftime.

Glutz took a corner kick for ECU in the 49th minute that Sarah Duvall headed into the back of the net for the Tigers third goal. In the 72nd minute, Glutz captured her third assist of the game when she sent in another corner kick that McNab headed in to put ECU up  4-0.

Five minutes later, Susana Galvez found Andi Reagan for the Tigers fifth goal. In the 77th minute, Ashley Bradford scored the sixth goal for East Central.

Sophomore forward Adriana Lucar had two shots, both on goal for the Lady Bisons.
