SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team picked up their sixth consecutive win on Thursday as they defeated Ouachita Baptist 3-0 in Great American Conference action. The Lady Bisons improved to 11-1 on the season and 2-0 in the GAC.
Harding has beaten 10 of their 12 opponents this season by a 3-0 score.
As a team, Harding had 47 kills, 16 errors on 124 attempts for a .250 hitting percentage, the highest the Lady Bisons have hit in conference play.
Sophomore outside hitter Mollie Arnold captured her eighth double-double on the season with 12 kills and 10 digs. She has had a double-double in every conference match.
Junior right side hitter Bailee Graham was the other Harding player in double-figure kills with a season-high 10. Freshman setter Taryn Eubank tied a season-high in assists with 33. Sophomore middle blocker Alyssa Short led the Lady Bisons in hitting with seven kills, one error on 12 attempts for a .500 hitting percentage.
The Harding defense was led by sophomore defensive specialist Weslynn Williams who had 17 digs. Senior outside hitter Jordan Smith had a career-high 10 digs in the match.
Ouachita Baptist (6-6, 0-2 GAC) was led by Libby Harrington and Kelsi Bodine who each had six kills. Lexie Hegi and Kristyn Howk each had 14 digs for the Lady Tigers.
Harding continues GAC action on Saturday as they travel to Ada, Okla., to face East Central at 2 p.m. It will be the second time the two teams will meet.
