SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team looks for their eighth straight win on Tuesday as they travel to Arkansas-Monticello as they continue Great American Conference play at 7 p.m. The Lady Bisons head into the match with a 12-1 overall record and a 3-0 GAC record.
Harding is led by sophomore outside hitter Mollie Arnold who averages 4.00 kills, tying her for first in the GAC, and 3.48 digs per set, ranking eighth in the GAC. Sophomore middle blocker Alyssa Short leads HU in hitting with a .308 hitting percentage, ranking her sixth in the GAC.
The Lady Bison defense is led by sophomore defensive specialist Weslynn Williams who averages 4.39 digs per set, ranking her fourth in the GAC.
As a team, Harding leads the GAC in three of the seven categories – opponent hitting percentage (.118), assists (12.57) and kills per set (13.55). They are second in two other categories – hitting percentage (.225) and digs per set (17.25).
The Cotton Blossoms head into the match with a 2-7 overall record and a 0-2 GAC record. They are led by Amy Kleypas who averages 2.32 kills and 1.74 digs per set. Christina Jacinto leads the UAM defense averaging 3.31 digs per set.
The Lady Bisons lead the series, 12-0.
