MONTICELLO, Ark. – The Harding volleyball team continued their perfect Great American Conference play on Thursday as they defeated Arkansas-Monticello 3-0. The Lady Bisons improved to 13-1 on the season and 4-0 in the GAC. With the win, Harding extended their winning streak to eight matches.

Harding hit for a season-high .354 hitting percentage. The Lady Bisons tied a season-low in errors with nine. HU defense had 44 digs and nine total blocks. Sophomore middle blocker Alyssa Short led the Lady Bisons with five solo blocks and sophomore defensive specialist Weslynn Williams led in digs with 11.

Sophomore outside hitter Mollie Arnold led HU with 12 kills, two errors on 22 total attempts for a season-high .455 hitting percentage.

Arkansas-Monticello (2-8, 0-3 GAC) was led by Amy Kleypas who had 13 kills. The Cotton Blossoms were led on defense by Christina Jacinto who had 14 digs.

UAM had 10 service errors in the match.

The Lady Bisons will be back in action on Thursday as they host Southern Arkansas at 7 p.m., in the Rhodes Field House.
