Volleyball Hosts Northwestern Oklahoma State on Thursday

SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team looks for their fifth-straight win on Thursday as they host Northwestern Oklahoma State at 7 p.m., in non-conference action at the Rhodes Field House. The Lady Bisons head into the match with an 18-6 overall record.

The two teams will play their Great American Conference match on Nov. 3. NWOSU is the only GAC school from Oklahoma that Harding plays twice.

The Lady Bisons are coming off a 3-0 win over Arkansas-Monticello on Tuesday. Junior outside hitter Mollie Arnold led Harding with 16 kills. She also had nine digs. Sophomore outside hitter Marindia Turner had 13 kills and led the team in hitting with a .480 hitting percentage. Senior setter Amber Schinzing had 43 assists. Sophomore defensive specialist Taryn Eubank led the HU defense with 10 digs.

Harding is led by Mollie Arnold who averages 4.02 kills per set.

Northwestern Oklahoma State is in their first season in NCAA Division II and in the Great American Conference. As a volleyball program, NWOSU is in their first season. The Rangers head into the contest with a 1-20 overall record. Their only win came against Oklahoma Panhandle State. NWOSU won 3-1. Northwestern Oklahoma State is led by Lacy Stewart who averages 2.79 kills per set.

It's the first meeting between the two teams.
