SEARCY – The Harding women's soccer team will play their final home game of the season Friday as they host Ouachita Baptist in Great American Conference action at 7 p.m., at the Harding Soccer Field. The Lady Bisons head into the contest with a 6-6-2 overall record and a 3-3-1 GAC record.
With three conference games left, HU is in third place in the GAC standings. The Lady Bisons will travel to Southwestern Oklahoma State on Oct. 26 and then play their final regular season game at Northwestern Oklahoma State on Oct. 28.
HU is coming off a 5-0 non-conference win over Hendrix last Tuesday. It was the first shutout this season by the Lady Bisons. Harding took 38 shots, 15 on goal and had 12 corner kicks. The Lady Bisons held Hendrix to only three shots. It was the fewest shots allowed since last season as HU held Delta State to three.
Harding is led by junior forward Jenna Taylor who has five goals and three assists this season.
Ouachita Baptist heads into the game with an 8-5-0 overall record and a 3-4-0 GAC record. OBU is tied with East Central for fourth place in the GAC standings. The Lady Tigers are coming off a 2-1 win over East Central last Sunday. Ouachita Baptist has three players that have three goals – Jessica Allen, Morgan Pitchford and Morgan Allen.
Harding leads the series between the two teams 8-5-2. The Lady Bisons defeated the Lady Tigers 2-1 earlier this season in Arkadelphia, Ark.
