Women’s Soccer Falls to No. 19 Southwestern Oklahoma State 3-0

WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The Harding women's soccer team fell to No. 19 Southwestern Oklahoma State 3-0 on Friday in Great American Conference action. The Lady Bisons fall to 6-8-2 overall and 3-5-1 in the GAC.

Southwestern Oklahoma State didn't take long to get on the board. Cori Kelly found Kelsey Visor on a cross pass from the right side to put the Bulldogs up 1-0.

Samantha Nunez found the back of the net in the 35th minute to give SWOSU a 2-0 lead.

The Bulldogs took a 3-0 lead into halftime when Eva Rule scored off a deflection off the goalkeeper.

HU held SWOSU scoreless in the second half.

Southwestern Oklahoma State held Harding to only two shots in the game, both in the second half. Harding's only goal scoring opportunity came in the 75th minute when senior forward Lauren Scharf had her shot saved.

The Lady Bisons will be back in action Sunday as they travel to Northwestern Oklahoma State in Alva, Okla. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.
