SEARCY – The Harding women's soccer team opens the 2012 season at Christian Brothers in Memphis, Tenn., on Thursday at 6 p.m.

The last time the Lady Bisons have opened on the road was in 2006 as HU traveled to Tahlequah, Okla., to face Northeastern State.

Harding returns nine letterwinners from last year's squad.  Senior Lauren Scharf and junior Hannah Hatcher return to lead the Lady Bisons defense this season.

Christian Brothers (who is a member of the Gulf South Conference) returns 14 players, including five seniors, from last year's team that produced an 8-8-2 overall record and a 3-4-0 GSC record. Junior forward Allison Tutt led the Lady Bucs last season in goals with nine.

Christian Brothers leads the series between the two teams, 9-4-1.
