BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Harding volleyball team won their fifth straight match Thursday as they defeated Lyon 3-0 in non-conference action. The Lady Bisons improve to 8-3 on the season.

The HU defense forced 25 Lyon hitting errors and held the Lady Scots to hitting .010. The Lady Bisons had nine blocks, five by sophomore middle blocker Liv Savage.

Harding hit for a season-high.311 in the match with 41 kills. It was the first time this season the Lady Bisons have hit over .300 in a match.  Junior outside hitter Mollie Arnold, who in two sets led HU with nine kills and hit for a season-high .643 percent.

Lyon (2-10) was led by Suzanne Fincham who had a match-high 11 kills.

The Lady Bisons next match is Tuesday in Searcy as they host Arkansas Tech in Great American Conference action at 7 p.m.
