SEARCY – The Harding women's soccer team opens Great American Conference play this weekend has the travel to Ada, Okla., to face East Central on Friday at 4 p.m. and then Bethany Okla., on Sunday to take on Southern Nazarene at 2 p.m. The Lady Bisons head into the weekend with a 1-3-0 record.
Harding is coming off a 4-3 overtime win at Lyon on Thursday. Four different players scored for the Lady Bisons – freshman Audrey Adkison, freshman Adair Schmidt, sophomore Anne Fitzgerald and senior Lauren Scharf.
Sophomore goalkeeper Danielle Nonaka averages 9.5 saves a game for Harding.
East Central, who won the GAC tournament last season, is still looking for their first win this season (0-5-1). Tory Weisman leads the Lady Tigers in goals with two. ECU leads the series 6-0-0.
Southern Nazarene, a provisional member of the GAC, heads into the weekend with a 3-2-0 record. The Crimson Storm opens GAC play hosting Ouachita Baptist on Friday. Southern Nazarene is led by Sherri Collins who has four goals. The last time the two teams met, they went to a scoreless draw in 2000.
