SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team looks to extend their winning streak to eight games Tuesday as they travel to Arkansas-Fort Smith at 7 p.m. The Lady Bisons head into the match with a 10-3 record.
Harding is coming off two Great American Conference wins last week as they defeated Arkansas Tech 3-2 and Ouachita Baptist 3-1.
The Lady Bisons are led by junior outside hitter Mollie Arnold who averages 3.87 kills and 2.50 digs per set.
Senior setter Amber Schinzing controls the HU offense averaging 10.56 assists per set.
The Lady Bisons defense is led by junior defensive specialist Lisa Copeland who averages 4.45 digs per set. At the net, HU is led by junior middle blocker Alyssa Short who averages 1.02 blocks per set.
Arkansas-Fort Smith, a NCAA Division II member of Heartland Conference, heads in the match with a 10-1 record. The only loss by the Lady Lions came against Colorado Mines on Aug. 31. UAFS has won their last nine matches. During their winning streak, UAFS has only dropped three sets. Arkansas-Forth Smith defeated GAC member East Central 3-0 earlier this season.
The Lady Lions are led by Heidi Luks who averages 3.84 kills and 3.81 digs per set.
Harding is looking for their first win against Arkansas-Fort Smith as the Lady Lions lead 2-0 in the series. UAFS defeated Harding 3-1 last season in Searcy.
