Lady Bison Soccer Falls to East Central on Friday

Ada, Okla. – The Harding women's soccer team fell to East Central 3-2 on Friday in Great American Conference action. The Lady Bisons fall to 2-7-1 overall and 1-3-0 in the GAC.

Harding got on the board first on a goal by sophomore midfielder Melissa Minnich in the tenth minute. Minnich's shot was to the left side of the goal on a free kick. It was her second goal this season.

East Central (2-8, 2-1 GAC) tied the game on a goal by Kourtney Holleman in the 25th minute.

After being tied 1-1 at half, ECU took the lead when Milan Galloway found the back of the net in the 57th minute.

Harding tied the game when freshman forward McKenna Smith took advantage on a one-on-one with ECU's goalkeeper. It was her first career goal.

East Central got the game-winning goal in the 75th minute when Katie Glutz found Ashley Bradford at the left corner of the box. It was her second goal of the season.

The Lady Bisons had two opportunities to tie the game again but both shots were saved by Lady Tiger goalkeeper Taylor Lowe.

Harding took 18 shots in the game, 10 were on goal.

The Lady Bisons will be back in action on Sunday as they travel to Bethany, Okla., to face Southern Nazarene in GAC action at 2 p.m.
