Harding Women's Soccer Travels to Southwestern Okla.; Northwestern Okla. This Weekend
Harding (1-5-1, 0-1-0 GAC) at Southwestern Oklahoma (4-2-1, 1-0-0 GAC), Friday at 2 p.m.
Harding at Northwestern Oklahoma State (1-9-1, 0-2-0 GAC), Sunday at 1 p.m.
Harding
- Harding is coming off a 2-1 loss to Ouachita Baptist last Friday to open Great American Conference action. This weekend the Lady Bisons will play their second and third games of a six game road trip.
- Senior forward Jenna Taylor leads Harding with two goals and one assist. Sophomore midfielder Sierra Hollingsworth has two goals for HU.
- Harding is coached by Dr. Greg Harris, who is in his 13th season as head coach of the Lady Bisons.
Southwestern Oklahoma
- Southwestern Oklahoma is located in Weatherford, Okla., and has an enrollment of about 4,200 students.
- The Lady Bulldogs are coming off a 2-0 GAC win over Southern Nazarene last Friday.
- SWOSU ranks first in the GAC in assists with seven and assists per game with an average of one.
- The Lady Bulldogs are led by junior forward Samantha Nunez who has three goals on the season. Four other SWOSU players have two goals.
- Southwestern Oklahoma leads the series between the two teams 6-4-0. SWOSU has won the last five meetings. Two of HU's wins came in Weatherford.
Northwestern Oklahoma
- Northwestern Oklahoma is located in Alva, Okla. and has an enrollment of 2,135 students.
- The Rangers are coming off a 4-0 GAC loss to Southern Nazarene last Sunday and a 2-0 GAC loss to East Central last Friday. NWOSU has lost its last five games and are 1-2-0 at home this season.
- Northwestern Oklahoma leads the GAC in fouls, averaging 11.30 a game.
- The Rangers are led by junior defender Emily Witty who has three goals. The only other NWOSU goal scorer is junior midfielder Kaitlyn O'Toole who has one goal.
- Harding leads the series 2-0-0. It will be the first time the Lady Bisons have played the Rangers in Alva as the two previous meetings were in Searcy.
