Lady Bison Soccer Wins at Northwestern Oklahoma

ALVA, Okla. – Senior forward Jenna Taylor scored two goals as she led the Harding women's soccer team to a 3-0 Great American Conference win at Northwestern Oklahoma State on Sunday. The Lady Bisons pick up their first GAC win as they improve to 2-6-1 overall and 1-2-0 in the GAC.
The HU win snapped a two-game losing streak. The Lady Bisons also improved their road record to 2-2-1.
It was the most goals HU has scored in a game this season. The last time the Lady Bisons scored three or more goals was against Hendrix last season in Searcy. HU won 5-0.
Harding's first goal came in the eighth minute when sophomore midfielder Audrey Adkison found Taylor who was five yards out from the goal.
After leading 1-0 at half, Adkison found the back of the net in the 54th minute on a shot from 25 yards out to the upper left corner of the net. It was her second goal of the season and the fourth in her career.
Taylor put the game away in the 70th minute when she hit a shot from 23 yards out. She now leads HU in goals this season with four.
Harding only allowed Northwestern Oklahoma (1-11, 0-4 GAC) to shoot five times; two were on goal. HU took 26 shots in the game as 12 were between the posts. Adkison and freshman midfielder McKenna Smith each had six shots for HU.
Harding will be back in action on Friday as they travel to Ada, Okla, to face East Central. Kickoff is at 4 p.m.
