Lady Bison Soccer Opens GAC Tournament against Ouachita Baptist on Friday

Harding

- Harding will be making its fourth straight appearance in the conference tournament. It's the first time since 2006, the Lady Bisons have been the third seed.

- Harding has won five straight games as they head into the tournament with a 7-8-1 overall record and a 6-4-0 GAC record. During the winning streak, the Lady Bisons posted a shutout in three of the games.

- The Lady Bisons are averaging 11.9 shots per game. Senior forward Jenna Taylor leads HU in goals with four. Sophomore midfielder Audrey Adkison and freshman forward McKenna Smith both have three goals and lead the Lady Bisons in assists with three.

- Harding is coached by Dr. Greg Harris, who is in his 13th season as head coach of the Lady Bisons.

Ouachita Baptist

- Ouachita Baptist is located in Arkadelphia, Ark., and has an enrollment of about 1,500 students.

- The Tigers head into the tournament as the No. 2 seed as they posted a 6-3-1 GAC record. OBU, 11-5-1 overall, has won its last two games.  

- Ouachita Baptist is led by sophomore forward Haley Hatcher who has a GAC leading 19 goals this season. It also ranks fourth in NCAA Division II.

- As a team, OBU averages a GAC leading 2.41 goals per game.

- Ouachita Baptist is coached by Kevin Wright.

The Series

- Harding leads the series between the two teams 10-7-2.

- It will be the second time the two teams have met in the conference tournament. Ouachita Baptist defeated Harding 1-0 in Pensacola, Fla., in 2006.  

- When the two teams met this season, the Tigers defeated the Lady Bisons in Searcy 2-1. In Arkadelphia, Harding won 1-0 which started the five-game winning streak.
