Harding Volleyball Hosts Northwestern Oklahoma on Saturday

Harding

- Harding will be playing its final home match of the season. After the match, the Lady Bisons will recognize three seniors for their contribution to the HU volleyball program – Mollie Arnold, Lisa Copeland and Alyssa Short.

- Harding currently sits in first place in the GAC standings and will be the No. 1 seed in the GAC Tournament Nov. 21-23 in Hot Springs, Ark. With a win on Saturday, the Lady Bisons will win the conference regular season outright. They clinched at least a share of the title on Tuesday.

-  The Lady Bisons are looking to extend their Great American Conference win streak and home win streak on Saturday. Currently the GAC streak is at 29 matches, dating back to the 2011 season. HU broke the previous record of 25 against Southwestern Oklahoma on Oct. 26. The home streak is currently at 23 matches.

- The Lady Bisons are led by senior outside hitter Mollie Arnold who averages 4.06 kills which ranks first in the GAC and 16th in NCAA Division II. She also averages 3.19 digs per set. Junior setter Taryn Eubank ranks second in the GAC in assists with a 9.80 average.

- The Harding defense is led by senior defensive specialist Lisa Copeland who ranks first in the GAC in in digs averages 4.95 per set. Junior middle blocker Liv Savage ranks fourth in the GAC in blocks, averaging 0.98 blocks per set.

- As a team, Harding ranks first in the GAC in assists (12.2 aps), digs (17.5 dps) and opponent hitting percentage (.140). HU ranks second in kills (13.16).

Northwestern Oklahoma

- Northwestern Oklahoma heads into the contest with a 5-21 overall record and 2-9 GAC

- The Rangers have lost their last three matches. Their two conference wins came against East Central (3-2) and Henderson State (3-0).

- Northwestern Oklahoma is led by Asia Pipkin who averages 2.80 kills per set. NWOSU's defense is led by Megan Hentschke who averages 3.20 digs per set.

- The Rangers are coached by Gene Krieger

Series

- Harding leads the series between the two teams 2-0. When the two teams met last season in Alva, Okla., Harding won 3-0.
