DENTON, Texas – The Harding women's soccer team tied Texas Woman's 1-1 on Friday in non-conference action. The Lady Bisons are now 1-4-1 on the season.
It was the second straight game Harding has played overtime. HU defeated Hendrix 2-1 on Tuesday in double-overtime.
Texas Woman's (2-3-1) got on the board first in the 39th minute when Tareyn Blanton found the right corner of the net on a shot from the top of the box.
Harding got the equalizer in the 53rd minute when junior midfielder Sierra Hollingsworth received the ball off a deflection off a Pioneer defender. Hollingsworth shot from 25 yards out to tie the game. It was her second straight game with a goal.
The Lady Bisons had a chance for the win in the 99th minute but Melissa Minnich's shot was saved by TWU's goalkeeper Ariana Morrison.
HU sophomore goalkeeper Kaitlyn Miller had seven saves in the game including two in the second overtime.
Harding will be back in action at home on Monday as they host Lyon at 7 p.m., at Stevens Field.
