Lady Bison Soccer Falls to Northeastern State

SEARCY – The Harding women's soccer team fell to Northeastern State 4-0 in non-conference action on Sunday at Stevens Soccer Field. The Lady Bisons fall to 0-2-0 on the season.

Northeastern State got on the board in the third minute when senior midfielder Elizabeth Cudjoe stole the ball from the HU defense and found the lower right corner of the net.

With eight seconds remaining in the first half, freshman midfielder Mikayla Carlson found McKenna Jetton on a corner kick to give the Riverhawks a 2-0 lead at halftime.

In the 51st minute, senior forward Jennifer Clark sent a throughball up the middle to senior midfielder Kelsey Sheldon for NSU's third goal.

Carlson got her second assist of the day on a cross to the middle of box that found senior midfielder Stephanie Doherty who one-timed the shot to the upper right corner of the net.

Harding sophomore goalkeeper Kaitlyn Miller had nine saves.

Northeastern State held HU to only one shot on goal.

The Lady Bisons will travel to Commerce, Texas to take on Texas A&M-Commerce on Friday in non-conference action at 7 p.m.
