SEARCY – The Harding women's soccer team continues its non-conference schedule on Tuesday as they travel to Springfield, Mo., to face Drury at 7:30 p.m., at Harrison Stadium. The Lady Bisons head into the game with a 0-2 record.
Harding
Harding is coming off the Great American Conference/Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Challenge. The Lady Bisons hosted the event that was held Friday and Sunday at the Stevens Soccer Complex. The MIAA was represented by Emporia State and Missouri Western State and East Central was the other GAC team.
Harding fell to Missouri Western 1-0 in double-overtime last Friday and then fell to Emporia State on Sunday 4-2.
The Lady Bisons are led in scoring by junior midfielders Audrey Adkisons and Ashley Sampson who each have a goal and assist. Sophomore midfielder Averie Albright is averaging three shots a game.
Harding is coached by Dr. Greg Harris who is in his 14th season at the helm.
Drury
Drury, who is a NCAA Division II member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference, heads into the game with a 1-0 record after they defeated Missouri Southern on Sept. 4 in Springfield, 2-0.
The Panthers had 19 shots in the game. Drury's goals were scored by junior midfielder Emma Huggett and red-shirt sophomore Mariah Gove.
The Panthers are coached by Alf Bilbao who is in his ninth season at Drury.
Series
Drury leads the series between the two teams 4-2-1. The Panthers have won the last two meetings. Harding's last win came in 2010 in Searcy as the Lady Bisons won 1-0.
