SEARCY – The Harding women's soccer team will be looking for its first conference tournament championship on Saturday when it hosts Southwestern Oklahoma at 11 a.m., at the Stevens Soccer Complex. The Lady Bisons are the No. 1 seed in the GAC Tournament and Southwestern Oklahoma is the No. 3 seed.

- Harding will be making its second appearance in the GAC Tournament Championship game. The Lady Bisons lost to Southwestern Oklahoma 1-0 in 2013.
- It is the first time Harding has been the No. 1 seed in a conference tournament. In the GAC Tournament, the Lady Bisons have been the No. 3 seed twice and the No. 4 seed twice.
- Harding advanced to the championship game after defeated No. 4 seed Southern Nazarene 2-0. Bethany Sutherland scored both goals for the Lady Bisons. She dribbled through six defenders and found the lower left corner of the net in the 30th minute for her first goal. Her second goal came in the 50th minute when she converted a penalty kick. It was Harding's second made penalty kick this season.
- Harding captured the GAC Regular Season Championship last Saturday after they defeated East Central 4-1. Bethany Sutherland had a goal and an assist in the game. Mika Richards, Rachel Bacon and Carley Stevens scored Harding's other goals.
- The Lady Bisons will look to remain perfect at home on Thursday. Harding is 9-0-0 at home this season. It is the most wins at home by Harding since implementing soccer in 1998. The Lady Bisons have never gone undefeated at home in a season.
- Harding has recorded a school record 11 shutouts this season.
- Harding is led by freshman midfielder Bethany Sutherland who has scored 22 goals on the season. She holds the Harding record and the GAC record for the most goals in a season. Sutherland also ranks tied for third in NCAA Division II in goals. Only one other freshman in NCAA Division II has more goals then her this season.
- Bethany Sutherland leads all of NCAA Division II in game-winning goals with nine.
- Sophomore forward Carley Stevens is second on the team with seven goals and senior midfielder Audrey Adkison leads the team in assists with eight. Adkison ranks fourth all time at Harding with 22 career assists.
- The Lady Bisons are led between the posts by senior goalkeeper Kaitlyn Miller who has a 14-3-2 record. Miller has a 0.82 goal against average and is averaging 3.6 saves per game. Miller has recorded 10 shutouts this season to set a new Harding record previously held by Cheryl Dovichak (2004-05). Dovichak recorded eight shutouts 2004.
- Kaitlyn Miller pushed her career win total to 28 on Thursday. Miller broke the career wins mark last Saturday against East Central. She broke Chelsea Hornbeck's (2006-08,10) record who had 26 wins in her career.
- Seniors Larkin Hatcher, Audrey Adkison and Melissa Minnich all played in their 74th game in their career on Thursday. The three players broke the previous record held by Lynsey Clissold (2004-07) and Katie Rankin (2004-07) who played in 73 games.

- Southwestern Oklahoma defeated No. 2 seed Ouachita 2-1 on Thursday to advance to the GAC Tournament Championship game. Cori Kelly collected a loose ball and shot from 35 yards out. Her shot hit the cross bar and bounced off the keeper and went in. Samantha Nunez scored the second goal after dribbling through the defense and found the lower left corner.
- Southwestern Oklahoma has a 6-4-0 record in true road games this season.
- The Bulldogs are led by Samantha Nunez who has 10 goals on the season. She also has four assists.

- Harding and Southwestern Oklahoma tied 2-2 in Weatherford, Oklahoma on Oct. 2. Bethany Sutherland scored both of the Lady Bisons goals in the second half. When the teams met in Searcy on Oct. 24, Harding won 5-1. Mika Richards scored two goals, Bethany Sutherland scored two goals and Rachel Bacon scored a goal. The Lady Bisons scored three of their goals off corner kicks.
