COMMERCE, Texas – The Harding softball team fell 3-2 and 4-2 in non-conference action at Texas A&M-Commerce on Saturday. It was the Lady Bisons final regular season games.

Harding falls to 22-30 overall and Texas A&M-Commerce improves to 29-23.

The Lady Bisons had a conference series bye this weekend to end the Great American Conference regular season. Harding has already sealed a spot in the GAC Tournament held in Bentonville, Arkansas April 30-May 2. The Lady Bisons will find out what seed they will be and who they will play on Monday.

GAME ONE

Texas A&M-Commerce took a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Harding tied the game in the fourth then the Lions scored another run in the fifth. The Lady Bisons tied the game in the sixth but Texas A&M-Commerce scored the winning run in the bottom of the inning.

Carolyn Clayton homered to left field in the fourth and Marley Edwards hit a double that scored Harding's second run.

The Lady Bisons had seven hits in the game and seven different Harding players had a hit.

Courtney Moore (5-6) got the win for the Lions and Aundria Zuniga-Romero got the save. Amber Rollins (14-13) got the loss for Harding. She pitched six innings, gave up two earned runs and struck out six.

GAME TWO

Texas A&M-Commerce took a 2-0 lead after the first inning as they went onto a 4-2 win.

The Lions held Harding scoreless until the sixth inning. Carolyn Clayton hit a solo home run to right field to lead off the inning. It was her ninth of the season. Brookelynn Moon hit a sacrifrice fly to right to score Mackenzie Jones for Harding's second run.

Both teams had nine hits in the game. Kinsey Beck, Jessica Greene and Jones each had two hits.

Aundria Zuniga-Romero (14-7) got the win for Texas A&M-Commerce and Courtney Moore got the save. Danielle Hubbard (8-13) got the loss for Harding. Hubbard pitched six innings gave up four earned runs and tied a career-high with six strike outs.
