SEARCY – Sophomore forward Morgan Springborn scored two goals to lift the Harding women's soccer team to a 4-0 victory over Union on Friday in non-conference action.
RECORDS
Harding improves to 3-2-0 on the season while Union falls to 0-5-0.
GOALS
Harding 1, Union 0 – 7th minute – Bethany Sutherland stole the ball from the defense in the box and found the upper right corner of the net.
Harding 2, Union 0 – 30th minute – Morgan Springborn scored her first goal of the night when she dribbled through the defense from midfield and found the upper right corner of the net.
Harding 3, Union 0 – 77th minute – Melita Sutherland sent a through ball up the left side. With the keeper pulled out, Springborn dribbled around the goalkeeper and found the upper right corner.
Harding 4, Union 0 – 82nd minute – After a failed defensive clearance, Emma Chilton found the lower left corner of the net from 20 yards out.
TEAM STATS
Harding took 19 shots in the game and had nine on goal.
Union took 11 shots and were only on frame three times.
INDIVIDUAL STATS
Morgan Springborn's goals was her second and third of the season.
Bethany Sutherland's goal moves her into a tie with Carley Stevens with a team-high four goals on the season.
Emma Chilton's goal was her first collegiate goal.
