Lady Bison Volleyball Wins with Ease Over Williams Baptist

SEARCY -  The Harding volleyball team defeated Williams Baptist 3-0 (25-11, 25-13, 25-21) on Monday in non-conference action at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.

RECORDS

Harding improves to 15-6 overall and Williams Baptist falls to 8-12 overall.

SET ONE HIGHLIGHTS

Harding took a 14-1 lead in the first set on eight kills. With the Lady Bisons leading 22-6, Williams Baptist went on a 6-0 run to make the score 22-11. Harding had three straight kills to win the set 25-11. Harding had 14 kills in the set and hit .458.

SET TWO HIGHLIGHTS

With the second set tied at five, Harding went on a 9-1 run to lead 14-6. The Lady Bisons closed the set on a 4-0 run to win 25-13.

SET THREE HIGHLIGHTS

Harding took a 10-5 lead in the third set on eight kills. The teams exchanged points until Harding had back-to-back kills by Zoe Hardin to win 25-21. Harding had 17 kills in the set.

TEAM STAT

It was Harding's fourth straight win at home.

The match was the final non-conference match of the season for the Lady Bisons.

Harding had 47 kills and hit .277. It was the third-straight match the Lady Bisons have hit over .200.

Harding held Williams Baptist to hitting .030 and forced 18 Lady Eagle attack errors.

INDIVIDUAL STATS

Harding was led by Zoe Hardin who had 11 kills, three blocks and hit .474.

Rachel Heussner got the start at setter for Harding and ended with a career-high 38 assists. Taylor Lake led the Lady Bisons defense with 16 digs.

Williams Baptist was led by Madison Laubach who had 10 kills.

UP NEXT

Harding will continue Great American Conference action this weekend when it hosts Southern Nazarene on Friday at 6 p.m., and Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday at 2 p.m.
