SEARCY - The Harding volleyball team moved into a tie for first place in the Great American Conference after a 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-20) win over Henderson State on Thursday at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.
RECORDS
Harding improves to 20-6 overall and 11-3 in the GAC. Henderson State falls to 12-14 overall and 7-7 in the GAC.
SET ONE HIGHLIGHTS
Trailing 19-13 in the first set, Harding went on a 12-1 run to win the set 25-20. During the run, the Lady Bisons had five kills and two blocks. Harding had 13 kills and hit .270 in the set.
SET TWO HIGHLIGHTS
Harding scored the first two points of the second set and didn't give up the lead the rest of the way. With a 16-12 lead, the Lady Bisons went on 7-2 run to lead 22-14. Henderson State battled back and pulled within two on a 6-0 run but Harding had a block and a kill by Zoe Hardin to win the set 25-21. The Lady Bisons had 17 kills in the set.
SET THREE HIGHLIGHTS
Henderson State jumped out to an early 8-5 lead in the third set until Harding went on a 6-0 run to lead 11-8. The Reddies stayed close but they couldn't overcome the Lady Bisons as Harding won the set, 25-20.
TEAM STAT
The win marked Harding's 20th win of the season which is the 16th time the Lady Bisons have won over 20 matches in a season in the NCAA era.
It was also Harding's eighth straight home win.
With two GAC regular season matches remaining, the Lady Bisons will be battling with Oklahoma Baptist for the regular season conference title.
Harding had 43 kills in the match and hit .307 on 101 attempts.
Henderson State had 42 kills and hit .203.
INDIVIDUAL STATS
Harding was led by Zoe Hardin and Emily Clayton who each had 10 kills for the Lady Bisons. Hardin hit .562 and added seven blocks. She had 10 against Henderson State earlier this season.
The Harding defense was led by Taylor Lake who had 13 digs. Alex Nolan added 11 and also had three blocks.
Henderson State was led by Sharon Tukuaoga and Adrianna Hartmann who each had nine kills. Sydney Skelton led the defense with 16 digs.

Harding will travel to Russellville, Arkansas next Tuesday to face Arkansas Tech in GAC action at 6 p.m.
