SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team fell to Arkansas-Fort Smith 3-1 (25-21, 25-16, 22-25, 25-19) Monday in non-conference action at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House. The loss snapped a five match-winning streak for Harding.
The Lady Bisons fall to 17-3 overall and Arkansas-Fort Smith improves to 16-5.
FIRST SET
Arkansas-Fort Smith jumped out to a 9-4 lead in the first set before Harding tied it up at nine and then took a 12-10 lead on a 8-1 run. The Lady Lions answered back with a 4-0 run to lead 14-12. The set stayed close until Arkansas-Fort Smith had three straight kills to win 25-21.
SECOND SET
Trailing 5-4, Arkansas-Fort Smith went on a 9-0 run to lead 13-5 in the second set. The Lady Lions forced five Harding errors during the run. Arkansas-Fort Smith went on to win the set 25-16. Harding had 11 attack errors in the set.
THIRD SET
Trailing 15-14, Harding went on a 5-1 run to lead 19-16. Arkansas-Fort Smith battled back and took a 21-19 lead on a 5-0 run on three kills by Anna Demmer. The Lady Bisons answered back and won the set 25-22 on a 6-1 run on five kills, three by Taylor Mounts.
FOURTH SET
With the fourth set tied at 15, Arkansas-Fort Smith went on a 6-1 run to lead 21-16. Harding scored the next two points but the Lady Lions won four of the next five points to win the set 25-19. Arkansas-Fort Smith hit .393 in the set.

- For the second straight match, Harding was led by Emily Clayton who had 16 kills and hit .243.
- Zoe Hardin had 14 kills, hit .333 and had six blocks.
- Rachel Heussner captured a double-double with 45 assists and 13 digs.
- Taylor Lake led the defense with 21 digs.
Arkansas-Fort Smith
- Anna Demmer led the Lady Lions with 18 kills and 16 digs.
- Autumn Reese had 25 digs and Eliza Piccirillo had 14 digs.
- Debra Rogers had six blocks for Arkansas-Fort Smith.
