BENTONVILLE, Ark. – The Harding softball team defeated Northwest Missouri 1-0 and Pittsburg State 3-0 on Saturday on the final day of the Arkansas-Monticello Softball Challenge.
The Lady Bisons remain perfect on the season with a 6-0 record.
Game One Key Innings (Harding 1, Northwest Missouri 0)
- After Courtney Derrick hit a single and picked up a stolen base in the fifth inning, Peyton Mills singled her in.
- The Lady Bisons had another scoring chance in the sixth when they had the bases loaded with two outs.
- Harding went three up, three down in the seventh to pick up the win.
Game One Key Statistics
- Harding had seven hits in the game by six different players. Brookelynn Moon went 2-for-3 for the Lady Bisons.
- Autumn Humes picked up her third win of the season for Harding. She threw the complete game and had seven strikeouts.
- Rachel Smith received the loss for Northwest Missouri and falls to 0-2 on the season.
Game Two Key Innings (Harding 3, Pittsburg State 0)
- Kimmy Hendricks-Campbell knocked in Harding's first run in the first inning off a single.
- Peyton Mills made it a 3-0 game in the sixth on a two-run homerun that scored Alexus Lawellin. It was her first of the year.
- Pittsburg State had runners at first and second with one out in the seventh but Harding got out of the inning with a strikeout and a ground out.
Game Two Key Statistics
- Harding had six hits in the game with Peyton Mills and Kimmy Hendricks-Campbell each having two.
- It was Harding's third shutout of the season.
- Hannah Johnson picked up her third win of the season with the complete game. She gave up three hits and struck out a career high eight batters.
- Emmie Robertson got the loss for Pittsburg State, pitching six innings.

- Harding will be back in action on Friday when it travels back to Bentonville to take part in the Arkansas-Monticello Softball Classic. The Lady Bisons will play Minnesota State Mankato and Central Missouri on Friday and then play Emporia State and Nebraska-Kearney on Saturday.
