HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Harding volleyball team defeated Trevecca Nazarene 3-1 (20-25, 25-10, 25-20, 25-22) and Auburn-Montgomery 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-21) Saturday in the Hampton Inn Providence UAH Classic hosted by Alabama-Huntsville.
Harding improves to 5-0 on the season.
Trevecca Nazarene falls to 2-1 and Auburn-Montgomery falls to 2-2.
The Auburn-Montgomery volleyball program is in its first season of existence.
TREVECCA NAZARENE MATCH
FIRST SET
Trevecca Nazarene jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first set, after forcing three Harding attach errors. Harding pulled within three, 11-8 on a 4-0 run on four straight kills. The Trojans answered back with a 3-0 run and went on to win the set 25-20.
SECOND SET
After dropping the first two points in the second set, Harding answered back with a 9-1 run to lead 9-3. The Lady Bisons only allowed Trevecca Nazarene to score seven more points in the set as Harding won 25-10.
THIRD SET
Leading the third set 17-16, Harding went on a 6-0 run to lead 23-16 on four kills and two attack errors. The Lady Bisons won the set 25-20.
FOURTH SET
Trailing 16-15, Harding went on a 7-1 run on six kills. Trevecca Nazarene pulled within two, 24-22 before the Lady Bisons won the match on a Trojan service error.

- Harding was led by Emily Clayton who had a career-high 18 kills.
- Rachel Heussner also captured a career-high with 44 assists.
- Taylor Lake led the defense with 14 digs.
- Harding held Trevecca Nazarene to hitting .068 and forced 27 attack errors.

- Madison Clements led Trevecca Nazarene with nine kills.
- Gracia Pierce led the defense with 15 digs.
AUBURN-MONTOGMERY MATCH
FIRST SET
Leading 13-11, Harding went on a 5-0 run on three kills by Emma Reeves to take an 18-11 lead. The Lady Bisons went on to win 25-16.
SECOND SET
Harding opened the second set with a 12-3 lead and went on to win the set 25-14.
THIRD SET
Trailing 9-6 in the third set, Harding quickly took the lead on a 4-0 run on two kills by Emma Reeves. Trailing again 13-10, the Lady Bisons went on a 7-1 run to lead 17-14. Harding went on to win the set 25-21.

UP NEXT
Harding will travel to Salt Lake City, Utah to take part in the Westmister College Tournament. The Lady Bisons open the tournament Friday against Western New Mexico at noon.
