SHAWNEE, Okla. – The 18th-ranked Harding softball team split with Oklahoma Baptist Saturday in Great American Conference action. Oklahoma Baptist won the first game 8-0 and Harding won the second game 7-5 in eight innings.
Harding moves to 18-6 overall and 12-4 in the GAC.
Oklahoma Baptist moves to 9-15 overall and 6-10 in the GAC.
Game One Key Innings (Oklahoma Baptist 8, Harding 0 – five innings)
- Oklahoma Baptist scored its first run in the first off a home run by Dani Manning.
- Oklahoma Baptist added three more in the second off four hits and then three more in the third off four hits.

- Oklahoma Baptist had 13 hits with four players having multiple hits. Katie Reyes led Oklahoma Baptist going 3-for-3 at the plate.
- Harding had four hits led by Madi Trump going 2-for-3.
- Aspen Grimes had three RBI for Oklahoma Baptist.
- Katie Long got the win for Oklahoma Baptist and improves to 4-2.
- Emily Garrett received the loss for Harding and falls to 5-2 on the season.
Game Two Key Innings (Harding 7, Oklahoma Baptist 5)
- Madi Trump led the game off for Harding with a solo home run to center field. It was her third career home run.
- Harding scored another run in the second when Hannah Fisher hit a single to center field that scored Katie Carney.
- Harding made it 4-0 game in the fifth when Katlyn Gordon hit a single to left field that scored Madi Trump and Hannah Fisher.
- Oklahoma Baptist scored three runs on three hits in the fifth highlighted by a two RBI single by Bry Flanagan.
- Harding went up 5-3 in the seventh when Briley Feringa hit a single to center field that scored Peyton Mills from second.
- Oklahoma Baptist tied the game in the bottom of the seventh scoring two runs off three hits on two sacrifice flies.
- Harding answered back with two runs in the eighth when Mason McCord singled up the middle to score Hannah Fisher and Madison Leggett.
- With runners at second and third and two outs, Harding got a fly out to end the game.
Game Two Key Statistics
- Harding had eight hits led by Madi Trump who went 2-for-4.
- Oklahoma Baptist had 11 hits with four players having two.
- Amanda Berry got the win for Harding and improves to 6-2. She went 7 2/3 innings and struck out three. Emma Dwyer came in and got the last out of the game to earn the save. It was her first career save.
- Amanda Peterson received the loss for Oklahoma Baptist after pitching three innings of relief.
