SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team pushed its winning streak to three matches Thursday after defeating Arkansas-Monticello 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-14) in Great American Conference action.
Harding improves to 7-6 on the season and 2-0 in the GAC.
Arkansas-Monticello falls to 1-14 overall and 0-3 in the GAC.
FIRST SET
Trailing 10-8 in the first set, Harding went on a 7-0 run on five kills to lead 15-10. The Lady Bisons went onto win the set 25-19. Harding forced Arkansas-Monticello to nine attack errors in the set.
SECOND SET
Harding jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the second set and held Arkansas-Monticello to scoring 15 points in the set as the Lady Bisons won 25-15. Harding hit .417 in the set with only one attack error.
THIRD SET
Harding took an 11-5 lead in the third set. Arkansas-Monticello tried to battle back pulling within four 17-13 until the Lady Bisons closed the set on an 8-1 run to win 25-14. Arkansas-Monticello hit -.029 in the set with eight errors.
