ADA, Okla. – The Harding volleyball team picked up its fourth straight win Friday after it swept East Central 3-0 (25-9, 25-15, 25-19) Friday in Great American Conference action.
Harding has swept its opponent in each of the last four matches. The Lady Bisons have won seven of their last eight outings. The hiccup came at Ouachita Baptist.
Harding improves to 12-6 overall and 4-2 in the GAC.
East Central falls to 2-18 overall and 1-5 in the GAC.
FIRST SET
Harding jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the first set and didn't look back as it won the set 25-9. The Lady Bisons had 15 kills and hit .342 in the set.
SECOND SET
Harding took a 4-0 lead in the second set and held on to its lead. Leading 20-15, the Lady Bisons scored the next five points to win the set 25-15. Harding held East Central to hitting -.111 in the set with 11 attack errors.
THIRD SET
Trailing 8-7 in the third set, Harding went on a 9-2 run to lead 16-11. Leading 22-18, Harding scored three of the next four points on two kills to win the set 25-19. The Lady Bisons had 17 kills in the set.
