ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Harding volleyball team fell at Henderson State 3-2 (18-25, 25-21, 18-25, 25-23, 16-14) Thursday in Great American Conference action.

After tonight's GAC results, Harding will be the No. 6 seed in the GAC Tournament in Hot Springs, Arkansas, November 21-23. The Lady Bisons will face No. 3 seed Southwestern Oklahoma at noon Thursday, November 21st.

Harding falls to 19-10 overall and 10-6 in the GAC. The loss snapped a four-match winning streak.

Henderson State improves to 21-11 overall and 11-5 in the GAC.

FIRST SET

Harding took a 5-1 lead in the first set. Leading 9-8, the Lady Bisons went on a 13-5 run to lead 22-13. Despite Henderson State winning five of the last eight points, Harding won the set 25-18.

SECOND SET

Trailing 13-10 in the second set, Harding went on a 4-1 run on a kill and two blocks to tie the set at 14. Henderson State took five of the next six points to lead 19-15. The Reddies went on to win the set 25-21.

THIRD SET

Harding took a 6-2 lead in the third set. Henderson State battled back to cut the lead to one, 12-11. The Lady Bisons answered back with a 9-1 run on four kills and two aces to lead 21-12. Harding won the set 25-18.

FOURTH SET

Henderson State took an 8-4 lead in the fourth set. Harding then won the next three points but the Reddies answered back with an 8-1 run to lead 16-8. The Lady Bisons fought back and tied the set at 23 on a kill by Kelli McKinnon but back-to-back blocks gave Henderson State the set, 25-23.

FIFTH SET

Harding jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the fifth set and held onto the lead until midway through the set. Trailing 9-8, Henderson State went on a 6-3 run to lead 14-12. A Reddie attack error and a kill by Kelli McKinnon tied the set at 14. Back-to-back kills by Henderson State gave it the set 16-14.

-          Logan Smith captured a double-double with 19 kills and 22 digs.

-          Libby Hinton had 13 kills and six blocks.

-          Kelli McKinnon had 12 kills and six blocks.

-          Harding had 128 digs in the match which ties for third most all-time. Katherine Cowart led the Lady Bisons with 32. Emma Winiger had a season-high 27 digs and Kinley Schnell had 16.

-          Sarah Morehead had 53 assists and a season-high 19 digs. It was the third time this season Morehead had 50 or more assists in a match.

-          Harding had 65 kills, 32 attack errors and hit .151.

Henderson State

-          Courtney Bolf led Henderson State with 14 kills and 38 digs.

-          McKenzie Tuyo had 13 kills for the Reddies.

-          Kenzie Thoman had 24 digs and Matti Fairchild had 21 digs.

-          Henderson State had 54 kills, 33 attack errors and hit .094.
