Harding Men's Tennis Posts 7-0 Shutout over UAFS

SEARCY – 34th-ranked Harding men's tennis cruised to a 7-0 victory in its final regular season match, blanking Arkansas-Fort Smith at the newly christened David Elliott Tennis Complex. The facility received its new name in a ceremony prior to the match that honored Harding's head coach of 39 seasons.
 
Harding improved to 12-6 with the victory, its first 7-0 win since blanking Collin College on Feb. 3. The next action for the Bisons will come on April 26 when Harding takes on Southern Arkansas in the semifinals of the Great American Conference Tournament in Bentonville, Arkansas.
 
Arkansas-Fort Smith fell to 4-10, losing to Harding for the 10th consecutive match. UAFS last defeated Harding in 2012.
 
Harding won the doubles point with wins No. 1 and No. 2. Alejandro Sendra and Morgan Salvan, ranked 37th in Division II, won 6-1 for their eighth consecutive victory and 10th of the season. Arthur Bellan and Will Reeves played together for the first time and won 6-2 at No. 2.
 
Harding did not lose a set in singles play. Salvan won his team-leading 16th singles match at No. 3. Luis Tirado extended his winning streak to four matches with a win at No. 4.
