Northeastern State defeats Harding Women's Soccer 3-2 in Double Overtime

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Northeastern State's Mariah Nicolet scored 85 seconds into the second overtime to lift the RiverHawks over Harding 3-2 Saturday at DeLoache Field.

Harding (1-3-0) took a 2-0 lead on goals in the 13th minute from Amelia Lewis and in the 26th minute from Emma Welch. It was the first goal of the season for both players.

Northeastern State (4-0-0) began its comeback in the 44th minute when Paulina Chavez scored her second goal of the season. Harding held its lead until the 86th minute. Nicolet scored her fourth to send the game to overtime, where she scored the game-winner.

Harding goalkeeper Jessica Woessner made 12 saves in the game, a career high and the most by a Lady Bison since Danielle Nonaka had 12 at East Central in 2012.
