SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team defeated Christian Brothers 3-1 (25-15, 25-18, 20-25, 27-25) Saturday on the final day of the Harding Invitational.
Harding improves to 7-5 overall and Christian Brothers falls to 2-10 on the season.
FIRST SET
With the first set tied at six, Harding went on a 6-2 run on four kills to lead 12-8. The Lady Bisons extended its lead to 22-13 after a 5-0 run on two kills. Harding had back-to-back kills by Amber Robin to win the set 25-15. Harding hit .324 in the set and had 15 kills.
SECOND SET
Tied at 13, Harding went on a 6-0 run on three kills to lead 19-13. Up 21-18, the Lady Bisons scored the next four points on three kills to win the set 25-18. Logan Smith had six kills as Harding hit .405 in the set.
THIRD SET
The third set stayed close until Christian Brothers went on a 4-0 run to lead 22-17. At 24-20, a Harding service error gave the Lady Bucs the set 25-20. Christian Brothers had 14 kills in the set.
FOURTH SET
Harding jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the fourth set. Christian Brothers battled back and tied the set at 22. The Lady Bisons had set point 24-22, but a service error and a block tied the set at 24. With the set tied at 25, Harding had back-to-back kills by Amber Robin to win the set 27-25. Harding had 15 kills in the set led by Amber Robin who had five.

- Logan Smith had 19 kills, hit .349 and had a match-high 18 digs.
- Amber Robin had a career-high 14 kills for Harding.
- Ally Stoner had 10 kills and four blocks. Emily Smith also had 10 kills.
- Sarah Morehead had 48 assists, eight digs and three blocks.
- Emily Winiger, Kinley Schnell each had 13 digs and Katherine Cowart had 12 digs.
- Kelli McKinnon had seven blocks for Harding.
- Harding had 61 kills and hit .286 in the match.
Christian Brothers
- Emma Lenoir led Christian Brothers with 14 kills and 12 digs.
- Miaya Smith had 11 kills and Meredith Hollinger had 10 kills.
- Maddie Stevens led the defense with 14 digs.
