Harding Women's Track Breaks Three School Records at UCM Invite

WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Harding women's track and field scored 59 points and placed fourth of seven teams at the Central Missouri Invite Friday at UCM's Multipurpose Building. The Lady Bisons had one event victory—Kinga Szarzynska won the 600-yard run. School records fell in the 600-yard run, the shot put (Cooper Monn) and the weight throw (Cara Mason). Monn's mark of 13.77 meters in the shot put was an NCAA provisional toss. Below are Harding's highlights by event.

    • High Jump – Junior Darcy Sanford earned four points for Harding with a fourth-place finish, clearing 1.63 meters (5-04.25). Sophomore Brylan Williams added an additional point with a sixth-place finish. She cleared 1.60 meters (5-03.00).
    • Long Jump - Sophomore Jenna Akins led Harding jumpers with a seventh-place finish and a mark of 5.04 meters (16-06.50). Her jump places her fourth on Harding's indoor long jump list. Sophomore Krisman Eakin moved into fifth on Harding's indoor list with a career-best 4.92-meter jump. She placed ninth.
    • Pole Vault – Junior Anna Bristo set a career-best with a clearance of 3.21 meters (10-06.25). She placed eighth.
    • Shot Put – Sophomore Cooper Monn broke the Harding record and placed third with an NCAA provisional throw of 13.77 meters (45-02.25). Junior Cara Mason was fourth with a career-best throw of 13.65 meters (44-09.50). Harding earned 10 points in the event.
    • Triple Jump – Senior Emily Shell earned eight points with a second-place finish. She jumped 10.97 meters (36-00.00). Sophomore Jenna Akins added two points with a fifth-place finish. She set a career-best with a jump of 10.50 meters (34-05.50).
    • Weight Throw – Junior Cara Mason broke the Harding indoor record with a mark of 14.23 meters (46-08.25), breaking the previous record of 14.08 meters, set by Braeghtyn McAleese in 2015.
