Harding Women's Tennis Wins Two, Runs Streak to Nine Straight

SEARCY – Harding women's tennis eased to two victories Friday with a pair of shutouts over Ouachita Baptist and Texas A&M-Texarkana. The Lady Bison won 7-0 in a nonconference match against Ouachita Baptist and 9-0 against NAIA foe Texas A&M-Texarkana.

Harding ran its winning streak to nine matches and improved to 12-5 overall. The Lady Bisons have won all eight true road matches. Harding has shutout three straight opponents and have seven shutouts for the season.

Rylie Cox Evans won both of her singles matches and has a 12-match singles winning streak. Her win at No. 1 against Texas A&M-Texarkana was the 40th of her career.

Cox Evans and Hana Folse also won their 20th doubles match of the season, two short of the Harding record of 22 doubles wins by Laura Golubic and Piper Huey in 2017. Cox Evans and Folse are only the fourth Harding doubles team with 20 or more wins in a season.
