Women’s Soccer Ties East Central Saturday

ADA, Okla. – Emma Roberts scores twice as the Harding women's soccer team tied East Central 2-2 Saturday in Great American Conference action.

Harding moves to 4-7-1 overall and 2-3-1 in the GAC.

East Central moves to 2-7-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the GAC.

GOALS

Harding 1, East Central 0 – 7th minute – Sophie Capitanelli found Emma Roberts for her 10th goal of the season.

Harding 2, East Central 0 – 59th minute –  Briley-Anne Brown found Emma Roberts for her second goal of the game.

Harding 2, East Central 1 – 59th minute –  Tanja Baubock found the back of the net for her third goal of the season.

Harding 2, East Central 2 – 59th minute –  Olivia Witte scored her third goal of the season.

STATS

Harding took 16 shots, 12 were on goal. Emma Roberts led the Lady Bisons with nine shots.

East Central took 25 shots, 19 were on goal.

Payton Milby played the full 110 minutes in goal and had a career-high 17 saves. It ties for second most saves in program history. It is the fourth time a player has had 17 or more saves in a game. Cheryl Dovichak holds the record of 23 saves against Texas A&M-Commerce in 2005. It was also the most saves since 2019 when Jessica Woessner had 17 at Northwestern Oklahoma.

Samantha Rupe and Grace Ann Green each played the full 110 minutes for Harding.

Harding will be back in action Thursday when it hosts Oklahoma Baptist at 5 p.m., at the Stevens Soccer Complex.
