The Harding men's tennis team got back in the win column on Thursday with a 6-1 victory over Texas A&M-Texarkana in Searcy to improve to 3-2 on the season. The Bisons dropped just two sets in the entire match and swept the doubles point for the third time this season.
Luis Tirado and
Diego Pierola got the Bisons off to a quick start with a 6-0 victory at No. 3 doubles.
Morgan Salvan and Alvaro de Lorenzo secured the doubles point with a 6-1 win at No. 1.
Arthur Bellan and
Milosh Petrovic teamed up in No. 2, where they each won their fourth doubles match of the season, but first together.
Petrovic got the second point on the board for the Bisons with a 6-0, 6-3 victory at No. 6 singles.
Bryce Walker picked up his third singles win of the season with a 6-4, 6-3 victory. De Lorenzo and Tirado both picked up straight set wins at No. 4 and No. 3. De Lorenzo now leads the team with four singles victories on the season.
Salvan secured the sixth and final point for the Bisons at No. 2 with a 6-4, 6-4 victory. The win moved Salvan into the top 20 in all-time singles victories at Harding with 56.
The Bisons will travel to St. Louis, Missouri on Saturday to face Missouri-St. Louis in a non-conference match beginning at 6:30 p.m.
