SEARCY – The Harding softball team split a non-conference doubleheader against No. 12 Rogers State Tuesday at the HU Softball Field. Rogers State won the first game 6-2 and Harding won the second game 5-3.
Harding moves to 11-3 overall and Rogers State moves to 10-4.
Game One Key Innings (Rogers State 6, Harding 2)

- T4 – Elexis Watson hit a single that drove in Abigail Taylor for Rogers State (Rogers State 4, Harding 0)
- B4 – Amanda Fields hit a single up the middle that scored Hanna Jones from third. (Rogers State 4, Harding 1)
- T5 – Makenzie Chappell hit a single up the middle that scored Ashton Bryce from second (Rogers State 4, Harding 2)
- T7 – Rogers State scored two run on three hits (Rogers State 6, Harding 2)
Game One Key Statistics
- Rogers State had 12 hits with Tailee Reding leading the way going 3-for-4.
- Harding had seven hits with Hanna Jones and Ashton Bryce each having two.
- Andrea Morales got the win for Rogers State and improves to 5-2. She went 4 2/3 innings gave up two earned runs and struck out nine.
- M'Kayla Hillman got the save for the Hillcats her first of the season. She pitched 2 1/3 innings and struck out two.
- Lily Tanski received the loss for Harding and falls to 6-2. She went 3 1/3 innings, gave up four earned runs and had one strikeout.
Game Two Key Innings (Harding 5, Rogers State 3)
- B1 – Hanna Jones hit a triple down the third-base line that scored Makenzie Chappell from second. (Harding 1, Rogers State 0)
- T3 – Danelle Day hit a triple down the right field line that scored Payton Stroud from first (Harding 1, Rogers State 1)
- T3 – Nicole Shano and Amanda Fields each had a RBI in the inning (Harding 3, Rogers State 1)
- B4 – Jordan Cabana hit a single up the middle that scored Chelsea Blankenship (Harding 5, Rogers State 1)
- T6 – Elexis Watson hit a solo home run to left field (Harding 5, Rogers State 2)
- T7 – Danelle Day singled to right that scored Gibson (Harding 5, Rogers State 3)
Game Two Key Statistics
- Harding had six hits as Jordan Cabana led the Lady Bisons going 2-for-3.
- Rogers State had four hits led by Danelle Day who went 2-for-4.
- It was Harding's second win over a ranked team this season. Harding defeated then ranked No. 10 Trevecca Nazarene 8-0 on February 6th.
- Jessica Bridges got the start and the win for Harding. She improves to 4-0. She went six innings, gave up two earned runs and struck out two.
- Abby Burch came in and got the save for Harding. It was her first collegiate save. She pitched an inning and gave up one hit.
- Delanie Freeze received the loss for Rogers State and falls to 2-2. She went three innings and gave up four earned runs.
