Women’s Soccer Ties Southern Nazarene 1-1 Saturday

BETHANY, Okla. – The Harding women's soccer team tied Southern Nazarene 1-1 in double-overtime Saturday in Great American Conference action.

Harding will play its final regular season game at home Tuesday when it hosts Oklahoma Baptist at 2 p.m. Harding has sealed a spot in the GAC Tournament as the top seven teams in the standings make the tournament. The Lady Bisons will find out what seed and if they will host the opening round game after Tuesday's game. If Harding hosts, it will play Saturday April 10. Time is still to be determined.

Harding improves to 2-1-2 overall and 2-1-2 in the GAC.

Southern Nazarene improves to 1-4-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the GAC.

GOALS

Harding 1, Southern Nazarene 0 – 30th minute – McKenna Moore found Carmen Gunn for her second career goal.

Harding 1, Southern Nazarene 1 – 44th minute – Karsyn Matthews found Kaitlyn Deaton for her first goal of the season.

STATS

Harding took 17 shots, eight were on goal. Carmen Gunn had four shots, two were on goal to lead the Lady Bisons.

Southern Nazarene had 14 shots, four were on goal.

Jenni Nadeau played all 110 minutes in goal for Harding and had three saves.

Emily Easterling, Georgia Templeton, Emma Roberts and Samantha Rupe all played the full 110 minutes for Harding.
