SEARCY – The Harding women's soccer team shutout Union 2-0 Saturday in non-conference action at the Stevens Soccer Complex.
The game was the fourth of a five-game home stand for Harding.
Harding improves to 2-3-0 on the season and Union falls to 0-2-0.
GOALS
Harding 1, Union 0 – 66th minute – Parker Smitherman sent in a cross that found Lauren Service who chipped it to Emma Roberts for her fourth goal of the season.
Harding 2, Union 0 – 66th minute – Parker Smitherman got her second assist in game when she sent a free kick to Kelli Tindel for her first collegiate goal.
STATS
Harding had 21 shots, 10 were on goal. The Lady Bisons were led by Carmen Gunn who had four shots.
Union had four shots, three were on goal. Mathilde Bromose took two shots, both were on goal.
Harding goalkeepers Payton Milby and Michaela Potter combined for the shutout. It was the second time this season the two have combined for a shutout. The Lady Bisons defeated Ozarks 5-0 earlier this season.
Samantha Rupe played the full 90 minutes for Harding.
