SEARCY – The Harding women's soccer team defeated Ozarks 5-0 Monday in non-conference action at the Stevens Soccer Complex.
Emma Roberts picked up her first career hat trick. It was also the 28th hat trick in program history. The last came on Oct. 3, 2019, when Melanie Spurgeon scored as many against Southern Nazarene. The Roberts hat trick was the third by a Lady Bison against Ozarks. The others were Melissa Toungette (1999) and Lauren Hensley (2000).
The game was the second of a five-game home stand for Harding.
Harding improves to 1-2-0 on the season and Ozarks falls to 0-1-0
GOALS
Harding 1, Ozarks 0 – 14th minute – Lauren Service found Emma Roberts on a quick give and go.
Harding 2, Ozarks 0 – 15th minute – Carmen Gunn took a shot that bounced off the post right to Lauren Service for her first collegiate goal.
Harding 3, Ozarks 0 – 33rd minute – Briley-Anne Brown dribbled through the defense and found the lower corner of the net.
Harding 4, Ozarks 0 – 84th minute – Lauren Service sent a through ball up the left side to Emma Roberts for her second goal.
Harding 5, Ozarks 0 – 89th minute – Emma Roberts dribbled through the defense and found the back of the net.
STATS
Harding took 25 shots, 13 were on goal. Parker Smitherman led the Lady Bisons with six shots, four were on goal.
Harding held Ozarks to one shot.
Grace Ann Green played the full 90 minutes for Harding.
Michaela Potter and Payton Milby combined for the shutout between the posts for Harding.

Harding will take on Christian Brothers Thursday at 6 p.m., at the Stevens Soccer Complex. The game was originally scheduled for a 7 p.m., start but was moved up to 6 p.m.
