MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Harding volleyball team continued its winning ways Thursday defeating Southern Arkansas 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-20) in Great American Conference action.
The Lady Bisons remain perfect in GAC action with the win and have already sealed a spot in the GAC Tournament November 10-12 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Harding will be fighting for seeding the rest of the way.
Thursday's win also marked Harding's 21st straight win dating back to August 27th. Harding broke the previous record of 17 that was accomplished twice with the first being in 2002 and the second in 2005 last Friday after defeating Southwestern Oklahoma 3-1.
Harding stays in first place in the GAC standings and improves to 23-1 overall and 12-0 in the GAC.
Southern Arkansas falls to 5-18 overall and 3-9 in the GAC.
FIRST SET
Trailing 20-16 in the first set, Harding went on a 9-1 run on six kills to win the set 25-21. The Lady Bisons had 16 kills in the set.
SECOND SET
Harding jumped out to an 8-4 lead in the second set and then extended its lead to 18-10. A kill by Libby Hinton gave the Lady Bisons the set 25-17. Harding again had 16 kills in the set. Southern Arkansas had nine attack errors in the set.
THIRD SET
Harding took a 16-9 lead midway through the third set before Southern Arkansas went on a 3-0 run to pull within four 17-13. The Lady Bisons answered back with a 3-0 run to lead 20-13 and didn't look back as they won the set 25-20. Harding had 18 kills in the set and hit .333.

- Kelli McKinnon led Harding with 14 kills and hit .500 with only two attack errors.
- Logan Smith captured a double-double with 11 kills and 15 digs.
- Sarah Morehead and Libby Hinton each had four blocks for Harding.
- Harding had 63 digs in the match. Emma Winiger joined Smith with 15 digs.
Southern Arkansas
- Southern Arkansas had 37 kills and hit .135.
- The Muleriders were led by Anna Crittenden who had 15 kills.
- Sakura Thomas led the defense with 19 digs.
