Four Harding Pole Vaulters Post Provisionals in Kansas

PITTSBURG, Kan. – Harding men's track and field had more than 20 athletes in competition Friday and Saturday at the Seventh Annual Indoor Gorilla Classic, hosted by Pittsburg State University.

Harding had four pole vaulters in the top eight, all clearing NCAA provisional heights. Sophomore Dorian Chaigneau placed third with a season-best height of 5.12 meters (16-09.50). Freshman Kylor Aguilar was fifth at 5.02 meters (16-05.50). Senior Austin Parrish and sophomore Jonathan Wall tied for eighth at 4.82 meters (15-09.75).

Chaigneau now ranks third nationally with Aguilar eighth, Parrish 11th, Alex Hindman 23rd and Wall 28th.

A fifth individual provisional mark came from senior Thibault Waeles. He placed fourth in the 800 meters in 1:50.96, breaking his own school record. Waeles ranks 23rd nationally in the 800.

Harding's 4x400-meter relay team of Dakarai Bush, Nikolasz Csokas, Tiag Campney and Tad Kirby finished with a provisional 3:16.97. The quartet ranks 23rd in Division II.

Freshman Antiwain Jones won the high jump by clearing 2.00 meters (6-6.75). It was his second victory of the season. He also won at Washburn.
