Chaigneau Sets NCAA Pole Vault Standard at Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Harding sophomore Dorian Chaigneau cleared the highest mark of the season by an NCAA Division II pole vaulter Saturday, sailing over 5.25 meters (17-02.25) at the Arkansas Qualifier. Chaigneau was the 2021 indoor national champion in the pole vault.

Harding's 4x400-meter relay team of Fallou Gaye, Nikolasz Csokas, Tad Kirby and Dakarai Bush put themselves in position to qualify for the national meet with a season-best time of 3:14.01. The quartet ranks 12th in Division II.

Senior Thibault Waeles ran an provisional time of 1:52.07 in the 800 meters, and Bush ran a provisional 8.22 in the 60-meter hurdles, but both had better times at other meets this season.

One other season best came from senior Matt Hipshire in the long jump. He landed at 6.45 meters (21-2).
