Ten Provisionals, Five Wins, Two Records for Harding Men's Track

SEARCY – Harding men's track and field had competitors at three different meets this weekend – the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas, the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, Texas, and the OBU Invitational in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Across all the action, Harding's men broke two school records, recorded 10 NCAA provisional performances and won five events.

2022 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays
Sophomore Dakarai Bush set a PR and recorded an NCAA provisional time of 14.37 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Fallou Gaye, Nikolasz Csokas, Tad Kirby and Dakarai Bush ran an NCAA provisional time of 3:12.66, the seventh-fastest time in program history.

Csokas ran 53.72 in the 400-meter hurdles, and the 4x100-meter relay team of Jamaric Hill, Bush, Kirby and Krishaun Watson tied the fourth-fastest Harding time at 41.49 seconds. It was Harding's fastest 4x100 time since 2014.

2022 OBU Invite
Senior Matt Hipshire shattered the school record in the decathlon with an NCAA provisional and event-winning score of 6,467 points. David Pencarinha set the old record of 6,355 in 2016. Hipshire had the highest score in six of the 10 decathlon events.

Senior Will Clark broke a 37-year-old school record in the javelin throw. Clark launched the javelin 57.34 meters or 188 feet, 1 inch. Jim Sutton had held the school record at 186 feet, 2 inches since setting it in a meet at Arkansas College (now Lyon College) in 1985. It was Clark's seventh career victory in the javelin.

Freshman Antiwain Jones won the high jump with a provisional height of 2.08 meters or 6 feet, 9.75 inches. Jones moves into seventh place on Harding's career performers list in the high jump.

Freshman Savian Bush won the 110-meter hurdles in 14.85 seconds, moving him to fifth in the event all-time at Harding.

Texas State Bobcat Invitational
Harding had five NCAA provisional performances at the Bobcat Invitational.

Junior Fallou Gaye won the 400-meter hurdles with a provisional time of 52.18. He holds the Harding record at 51.96. It was Gaye's sixth career event victory in the 400 hurdles.

Bush set a PR a day earlier at the Texas Relays and topped it Saturday at Texas State. Bush turned in another provisional time of 14.25 seconds. He moved into second on Harding's career performers list in the event behind only school-record holder Dwayne Allen (13.81).

Bush also moved into Harding's top 10 in the 200 meters, clocking a time of 21.61 seconds.

Three Harding pole vaulters all reached the same provisional height. Senior Alex Hindman, freshman Kylor Aguilar and senior Austin Parrish all cleared 5.05 meters or 16 feet, 6.75 inches. It was a PR for both Hindman and Aguilar. They are both tied for fourth on Harding's career performers list in the outdoor pole vault.
