SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team wrapped up the Harding Invitational Saturday after defeating Alabama Huntsville 3-1 (24-26, 25-23, 25-14, 25-20).
Harding improves to 11-1 on the season and moves its winning streak to nine matches.
Alabama Huntsville falls to 4-7 overall.
FIRST SET
Trailing 17-12 in the first set, Alabama Huntsville went on a 7-0 run on three kills to lead 19-17. Harding battled back and took a 24-23 lead but the Chargers won the next three points to win the set 26-24. Alabama Huntsville had 15 kills in the set.
SECOND SET
Harding jumped out to a 9-4 lead in the second set before Alabama Huntsville came back and took a 19-17 lead. The Lady Bisons had set point 24-21 but the Chargers wouldn't go away as they came back to trail by one 24-23. A kill by Libby Hinton gave Harding the set 25-23. The Lady Bisons had 19 kills in the set.
THIRD SET
The third set was all Harding as it took a 15-5 lead and didn't look back as it won the set 25-14. The Lady Bisons had 20 kills and hit .314 in the set.
FOURTH SET
Trailing 15-10 in the fourth set, Harding went on a 11-0 run on six kills to lead 21-15. Alabama Huntsville mounted a comeback to pull within two, 22-20 but the Lady Bisons scored the next three points to win the set 25-20. Each team had 15 kills in the set.

- Harding had a season-high 67 kills with three players in double-figures. Kelli McKinnon led the Lady Bisons with a season-high 17 kills and hit .333. Libby Hinton and Logan Smith each had 11 kills for Harding.
- The Lady Bisons had a season-high 103 digs in the match with five players in double-figures. Emma Winiger had a season-high 32 digs for Harding. Kinley Schnell also had a season-high 16 digs.
- Sarah Morehead captured a double-double with a season-high 58 assists and 11 digs.
- Logan Smith also captured a double-double with 11 kills and 12 digs.
- Grecia Soriano had 11 digs for the Lady Bisons.
Alabama Huntsville
- Alabama Huntsville had 48 kills and hit .135 in the match.
- Paris Morris led the Chargers with 13 kills.
- Alabama Huntsville had 86 digs in the match with five players in double-figures. Shayla Libby led the Chargers with 20 digs.
UP NEXT
Harding will continue Great American Conference action Tuesday when it travels to Arkadelphia, Arkansas to take on Ouachita Baptist. First serve is at 6 p.m.
