The Harding men's golf team shot a 3-over 291 on Tuesday and finished the Battle for the Belt in Hot Springs in third place at 10-over 874. Henderson State took home the team title, finishing 35-under 829.
The Bisons were led by Sam Tandy who posted his third top ten finish of the season, and second top five finish, shooting a 2-under 70 in Round 3 and finishing at 9-under 207. Leo Maciejek finished the tournament with a 3-over 75 and tied for 18th at 6-over 222.
Dennis Staykov posted his best round of the tournament shooting an even 72 and finishing 7-over 223 and tied for 22nd. Staykov finished with two birdies and an eagle in his third round. Jose Garcia also posted his best round of the tournament with a 2-over 74, finishing at 9-over 225 and tied for 27th.
Finlay Cummings shot a 4-over 76 on Tuesday and also finished tied for 27th at 9-over 225. Jose Peralta competed as an individual and finished his tournament in 40th at 13-over 229.
The Bisons will take a week off before returning to the NCAA Preview in Oklahoma City on October 16.
