SHAWNEE, Okla. – The Harding women's soccer team recorded its first shutout victory at Oklahoma Baptist Saturday with a 2-0 victory in Great American Conference action.
With the win, Harding improved to a 3-5-4 overall record and a 1-2-3 in the GAC, while Oklahoma Baptist fell to a 3-7-1 overall record and a 2-2-1 in the GAC.
GOAL
Harding 1, Oklahoma Baptist 0 – 28th minute – Lauren Service took a corner kick that found Regan Thompson who found Georgia Templeton for her first goal of the season.
Harding 2, Oklahoma Baptist 0 – 74th minute – Caitlann Potter found Whitney Thomas for her fourth goal of the season.
STATS
Harding took eight shots, four were on goal. Georgia Templeton and Regan Thompson each had two shots for the Lady Bisons.
Oklahoma Baptist took nine shots, four were on goal. Kaylee Swaner led the team with three.
Harding's goalkeepers, Michaela Potter and Maysa Willis, both had solid performances. Potter played the first half and recorded three saves, while Willis played the second half and made one save. Their combined efforts resulted in a clean sheet for Harding.
