HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Despite four players capturing double-doubles, the Harding volleyball team fell to Henderson State 3-2 (25-19, 26-24, 14-25, 24-26, 15-10) in a hard-fought Great American Conference Tournament semifinal match.

The two teams combined for 238 digs in the match. Harding's 117 digs ranked 10th most in program history and it was the most by the Lady Bisons in a GAC Tournament match. Harding had 116 against Henderson State in 2018.

Harding's season ends with a 19-11 overall record. Henderson State improves to 19-11 and will advance to take on Oklahoma Baptist in the GAC Tournament finals at 3 p.m., Saturday at Bank OZK Arena.

FIRST SET

Harding jumped out to an 8-3 lead in the first set until Henderson State went on a 10-2 run on five kills to lead 13-10. The Lady Bisons pulled within two, 16-14, but the Reddies fought off Harding on its way to a 25-19 win. Henderson State had 16 kills in the set.

SECOND SET

With the second set tied at 17, Henderson State had three straight kills to lead 20-17. Henderson State had set point, 24-20 but the Lady Bisons went on a 4-0 run to tie the set at 24. The Reddies won the set 26-24 after a service error and an attack error. Harding had 17 kills and Henderson State had 14 kills in the set.

THIRD SET

Leading 7-6 in the third set, Harding went on a 10-3 run on seven kills to lead 17-9. Leading 24-14, the Lady Bisons won the set 25-14 on a kill and a Henderson State attack error. Harding had 16 kills and forced Henderson State to hitting .064 in the set.

FOURTH SET

Trailing 9-8 in the fourth set, Henderson State went on a 11-5 run to lead 20-13. Harding answered back with a 10-2 run on six kills to lead 23-22. The Reddies won the next two points to have set point, 24-23 but two attack errors and a Harding kill won the set for the Lady Bisons 26-24. The Lady Bisons had 14 kills in the set.

FIFTH SET

Harding took an early 5-3 lead in the fifth set until Henderson State went on a 9-3 run to lead 13-8. The Lady Bisons pulled within three 13-10 but the Reddies had a kill and forced an attack error to win 15-10. Henderson State had eight kills and held Harding to hitting -.043.

-          Harding had 64 kills, 27 attack errors and hit .162 in the match.

-          Logan Smith-Morgan captured a double-double with 16 kills and 16 digs.

-          Chloe Ingersoll also captured a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs.

-          Two other Harding players finished in double-figure kills. Skyler McKinnon had 15 kills and Jacey Lambert had 13.

-          Emma Winiger and Grecia Soriano combined for 48 digs in the match. Winiger had 28 and Soriano had 20.

-          Both Harding setters captured a double-double in the match. Olivia Wiedower had 27 assists and 16 digs and Avery Hall had 23 assists and 12 digs.

Henderson State

-          Henderson State had 60 kills, 27 attack errors and hit .154 in the match.

-          The Reddies were led by Violeta Mendoza Quintana who had 20 kills and 19 digs.

-          Trinity Sharp led the defense with a match-high 32 digs for Henderson State.
